Rasmusson Christmas Weekend

We had christmas with my side over the weekend and it was originally supposed to be just Saturday night but if anyone knows my mom, she's a planner. We got there and within about 5 minutes she asked if we wanted to stay the night too and I said, oh ~ we didn't bring anything. Not to worry says she, wait until after the gift opening. Sure enough, pajamas and toothbrushes for everyone. LOL But there were also some really good times and I was really glad we stayed because it's been years since all of my family has stayed up at their house at one time with my sister and her family as well.

You can just hear Brody saying "Oh!" Loves the bubbles.

All four grandchildren received handmade stepstools with their names carved in as puzzle pieces that come out.

Too cute for her own good. (My namesake: Sara Mae)

Love, love, LOVE my new bench set from Mom and Dad. Trev and I really like this style of furniture and the woodshop has been churning out somereally nice pieces for us over the last few years. These two are the latest addition,a bench seat with hollow box for boots and shoes and a rotating coat rack with shoe holders around the bottom. Incredible.

Sorry, don't know how to turn this picture upright. I'm still getting the hang of this!

We Wish you a Merry Christmas

Tonight was the big Niemeyer Christmas. It was held in the Wykoff Community Hall instead of at the traditional Forestville lodge. I'm not sad at all about missing out on that, the big fireplace always freaked me out because I could envision one of my children getting 3rd degree burns from the lava hot sides. It was fun, Brody ran around a little too much and got to coughing-still has that cold- so he had to sit by Mom and draw pictures on a notepad which he then would go deliver notes to random people, it was cute. Here are some pics below...

These have been a delight, the classic Sit n' Spins!

Tis' the Season...

We had a very pleasant holiday time this year. We were snowed in for about three days which meant lots of family time. Brody developed a nasty chest cold but is quickly recovering from staying inside and getting lots of rest. This was the first year where we weren't running here and there on the actual holiday and it might become a yearly tradition, it felt like the holiday was more special because it was just our family. We had the Rasmusson Christmas on Saturday and the big Niemeyer Christmas is tonight. And we're still not done!

Trev got a TomTom from Santa so he won't get lost in the big city anymore. teehee

Dr. Brody is now equipped with a full medical bag.

Brody is also an accomplished reader, well he likes the pictures anyway. Here is is opening one of many books.

And the Blainester got a hunting game to play on the TV, not excited at all.
